Volunteer of the Month - February 2012
February 2012 - Daniela Andonova
Daniela Andonova immigrated to Canada in 2005. She had friends who were living in Calgary and they recommended the city as a great place to raise her family. When she arrived in Calgary, she was thrilled to see the mountains as they reminded her of home! She enrolled at Mount Royal University as an English as a Second Language student for one year. After this year she graduated as a Legal Assistant at Reeves College.
She first heard of Immigrant Services Calgary as she had taken her English exam at ILVARC. She decided to volunteer as an Office Support volunteer with ISC to “have a chance to contribute to society and gain experience in an office environment.”
Since 2011, Daniela has contributed over 100 volunteer hours and has become been an integral part of our volunteer team. She is committed to high standards of excellence that is reflected in all the work she does. Daniela has wonderful sense of humour that makes her a delight to be around! We are grateful to Daniela’s dedication to our agency!
