Do you have a passion for helping immigrants adjust to their new life here in Calgary? As a volunteer, whether you are accompanying a client to an important doctor’s appointment, coaching an individual on how to write a resume, or helping our staff in the office, you would be contributing to the successful integration of newcomers to Calgary.
Come and meet people from all over the world, practice your languages, attend valuable training sessions, expand your work experience and most importantly, gain a sense of fulfillment from helping others.
Volunteer Canada promotes volunteerism across Canada and has created The Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement in order to enhance volunteer participation.
The code is a set of standards created as a guideline for the principles, values, and policies of voluntary organizations. The Code recognizes the responsibilities of both volunteers and agencies, and values the rights of the volunteers who contribute their time, skills, and effort.
Immigrant Services Calgary appreciates the Volunteer’s role in helping fulfill the organizations mission and adheres to The Canadian Code for Volunteer Involvement.
