Volunteer Opportunities

Below are the opportunities that need volunteer support at Immigrant Services Calgary. Please contact us to find out which opportunities are currently recruiting.

Language Bank Translator
Provide written translation of documents. Fluency in English and at least one other language is required.

Language Bank Interpreter
Provide on-site verbal interpretation services. Fluency in English and at least one other language is required.

Employment Coach
Provide one-on-one assistance for resume writing and/or job search. Fluency in English and an understanding of resume requirements and expectations is required. Some daytime availability is preferable.

Special Events Volunteer
Assist with special functions and fundraising initiatives.

Office Support Volunteer
Help staff with a variety of clerical duties.

Income Tax Volunteer
Complete income tax returns for immigrants or refugees. Professional experience with the Canadian income tax returns and CRA training is required.

Children’s Programs Volunteer
Provide assistance in the delivery of child, youth and family programs.

Integrated Women’s Mentorship Program Mentors
Provide support, advice, and encouragement to immigrant or refugee women in their search for employment. Contact: Patricia at (403) 538-8367.
