Locally, BSF owns and operates five continuing care sites in Calgary and Okotoks. A team of approximately 1,500 employees provide exceptional person-centered care and services with a focus on prioritizing quality of life and high-quality care to more than 1,000 older adults and their families within our Aging Care and Seniors Living communities.
BSF also plays a crucial role in the prevention of domestic violence and homelessness through local community support programs. BSF’s Heart Home Network operates a second stage (post-emergency) shelter in Calgary providing a safe housing environment and essential services to support women and children at risk of family violence to transition back into the community.

Job overview:
Tudor Manor is looking for the next great addition to our team! The Health Care Aide is a member of a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing direct care to assist in the activities of daily living, comfort, and safety of the resident and indirect services to support the overall provision of care in their assigned area.
Some of the primary responsibilities include demonstrating awareness and understanding of the resident’s needs. Observing and reporting unusual signs/symptoms and incidences to the professional nursing staff and providing timely information to the supervising professional regarding observed changes in physical, mental, or emotional status/behaviour of the residents. Participating in the Care Plan for the resident; recognize challenges related to vision, hearing, speech, and language and adapt the practice minimizing these challenges. Documenting all care provided and behaviors noted on the appropriate forms and in the Point of Care (POC) system; promoting a healthy and safe practice environment – recognizing safety issues and reporting them immediately.

Required education and experience:
· Graduate of a Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide program;
· Registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory;
· CPR Heart Saver Certificate;
· Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing desirable;
