Location: Calgary, Alberta

Position title: Community Outreach Coordinator.

Reports to: Nile Care Advocacy for peace and Development’s board of directors

Status: Part time: 30 hours/week

Contract: one year (12 months).

 

We’re searching for professional community outreach coordinator to maintain community outreach activities including homeless youth awareness.

Primary responsibility for connecting homeless youth in the boarder community by creating visitation programs to homeless youth in greater Calgary’s areas.

We need self-motivated, enthusiastic, individual, and community driven to take on this exciting youth homeless role.

This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player.

Responsibilities:

– Maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including homeless youth visitation, community events, create youth referrals programs and other communication opportunities.

– preparing an annual budget for community outreach activities.

– Nurturing new and old relationships with collaborative partnerships with community programs and foundations in Calgary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

– Knowledge of agency vision, mission and service objectives. https://nilecapd.org/message-from-founder/

– Knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.

– Ability to pay attention to detail and manage multiple projects at one time.

– Ability to be flexible and adapt to change needs and time pressures.

– Ability to communicate professionally and build relationships foundations, volunteers, clients and individuals’ donors.

– Ability to track, analyze, and adjust programs and processes as necessary.

Adept MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degrees in social sciences, communications, marketing, business or related fields.

– Preferred experience of 2 to 5 years conducting outreach, community engagement, case management and or non – profit funding development.

– Strong experience preparing financial reports and tracking project spending

– Ability at working with diverse populations and engaging clients.

– Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.

– Ability to communicate professionally and with integrity.
