Machinist (Journeyman or Apprentice)

This position is responsible for the machining of components to specified drawings while maintaining quality and efficiency. The position may require overtime and shift work as decided by the department management. Ensure cost effective manufacture of components to the required standards and company objectives.

- Must be motivated and have good communication skills
- Candidate must have a positive attitude with the ability to work well with others and on their own
- Produce quality products based on engineering drawings with minimal defects
Knowledge & Skills
Familiarity with Gibbs Cam software a desirable asset
G code and conversational programming
Familiarity with Mazatrol, Fanuc, Heidenhain and Fagor control advantageous
Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) an asset
English language proficiency both verbally and in written form required
Education
Must be a registered 2nd year apprentice or greater or;
Registered journeyman machinist
Experience
CNC Lathe and/or Mill experience is required
API/Grant Prideco rotary shoulder connection experience an asset
Experience with oilfield, automotive or aviation manufacturing in a service/jobber shop environment is an asset
