Finding a job to support yourself and your family is one of the greatest challenges most newcomers face. We can help you to find employment by providing a variety of programs and services that offer employment skills training, job search support and connections to potential employers. Individual sessions and workshops are available in English and other languages upon request.

Advanced Literacy and Essential Skills in the Workplace (Ales@work) program is a 10-week training program targeted at internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) who have worked or trained as a programmer

This service provides one-on- one needs assessment and employment counselling; as well as group events for professional development.

This program is for new Chinese immigrants who are moving to Canada from the Greater China Region into Canada, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

Voices of Calgary is a city wide campaign launched by Immigrant Services Calgary to inspire newcomers through success stories of other immigrants and refugees already established in the Calgary community.

Lafarge has been very lucky to have two interns in 2015 and one who just started a work placement with us. It has been a wonderful experience to have such dedicated and hardworking people as part of our team. They provided outstanding support and were able to make a big difference in a short amount of time.
