Alexandra Turecek

In 2022, Alexandra joined the Alberta Securities Commission, an industry-funded regulator responsible for administering the province’s securities laws, as Legal Counsel in the Office of General Counsel.  Alexandra provides legal advice to management and staff on a wide range of issues with a focus on corporate, securities, procurement administrative, and privacy law. 

Before joining the Alberta Securities Commission, Alexandra maintained a general commercial litigation practice with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and and Bennett Jones LLP.  Alexandra received her law degree from the University of Ottawa and her Bachelor of Arts from the University.  She was called to the Bar by the Law Society of Alberta in 2019. 

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Alexandra worked in Calgary’s energy industry and with the Government of Alberta.  She volunteered with not-for-profit organizations, including Young Women in Energy and the United Way, and is committed to fostering connections within the community.
