David is the Chief Financial Officer for Pomeroy Lodging, one of Western Canada's leading hospitality companies with 20+ hotels and resorts as well as several Nordic Spas. In his role as Chief Financial Officer, David oversees the day-to-day financials of the organization, information technology, and strategic and business planning to assist in the optimization of the existing business and the growth of new business and acquisitions. 

David has experience in various executive financial roles over the past decade. The past two roles have been company turnarounds/transformation projects, the most recent for a private equity group. Experience in business optimization, exhibited across varying industries, has allowed exposure to various commercial and business models. Experience across all aspects of finance, including payroll accounts payable and receivable, consolidation, audit, and internal and external reporting, both financial and operational. Extensive experience leading teams to desired outcomes and developing company strategy.

David has been committed to giving back to his profession and community through various volunteer activities, including Chapter President and Board Chair for Financial Executives International and a prior finance committee member for Howard Trust Edmonton.   Having immigrated from Australia to Canada in 2012 David is passionate about assisting new immigrants to Canada through informal and formal mentoring.
